August 6, 2011 - Mystery Roadkill Near Alexandria, Minnesota.
Lacey Ilse was driving Monday, August 1, 2011, near her home on County Road 86, south of Alexandria, Minnesota, when she stopped to photograph a strange, dead animal on the road. The bizarre roadkill had a long tail and five long, grey nails on each front foot similar to a badger; white skin with only some dark tufts of back and neck hair; round, large ears; and a stocky torso.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources had the Douglas County mystery animal examined, but no positive identification has been made. DNR Area Wildlife Supervisor Kevin Kotts said Friday, August 5, that the animal found in the middle of County Road 86 suffered skull fractures and hopes its intact jaw could help a positive identification. The strange creature has been frozen and preserved in the Glenwood, Minnesota DNR office.

Pour l'animal du premier lien, je ne connais pas sa taille (même si les détails de l'asphalte autour pourrait faire penser qu'il s'agit d'une petite créature), mais cela me fait vaguement penser à un bull terrier... Sauf pour les pattes.

Ce pourrait être un chien dont la gestation aurait été altérée par une irradiation massive (l'hypertrophie des griffes). Mais le plus bizarre est que le monstre était viable, puisqu'il a l'air adulte.
